Welfare Benefits on Divorce by Family Law in Partnership

Welfare benefits on divorce or separation are a complex area. So we were delighted to host David Stickland of the Benefits Training Company last week who gave an overview of the world of welfare benefits to an invited audience.

David explained the complexities of a range of welfare benefits including tax credits, universal credits and disability allowance in particular with a focus on what is available, how it is assessed and what needs to be done to access the benefits on offer.

The Benefits Training Company is a social enterprise led by experienced benefits trainer and consultant, David Stickland. David has delivered over 1000 courses to the advice sector over the last 10 years and is recognised as one of the leading trainers in the field. He designs and delivers welfare benefits courses and offers consultancy for national programmes including those of Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), Shelter, Citizens Advice and Advice UK as well as many local authorities, housing associations, private and voluntary sector organisations.

At Family Law in Partnership our holistic approach ensures that we are fully up to speed with a wide range of support services, including welfare benefits, that may provide assistance to our clients on divorce or separation.
