Family Law in Partnership (“FLiP”) announces the appointment of Elizabeth Hicks as a director at FLiP where she will join the team focused on the firm’s High Net Worth (HNW) and UHNW clients.

She brings a wealth of experience in domestic and international family law work and we see Elizabeth’s appointment as a significant step as we build FLiP for the future.”

Elizabeth specialises in all areas of family law and has particular expertise in divorce, contested financial remedy cases and asset protection, often involving international aspects. Elizabeth also advises on complicated private Children Act cases and on Pre and Post Marital Agreements. She is an experienced collaborative lawyer.

Elizabeth is ranked in Band 1 for Family/Matrimonial work in both Chambers High Net Worth 2020 and Chambers UK 2020. Legal 500 UK 2021 ranks Elizabeth in its “Hall of Fame” of Leading Individuals in family law. The Spear’s Family Law Index 2020 names Elizabeth as a Top Recommended Family Lawyer.

Elizabeth joins FLiP from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner where she built a team focused on advising HNW and UHNW clients on complex cross jurisdictional issues of family, matrimonial and trusts law. Having qualified as a solicitor in 1995, Elizabeth joined Kingsley Napley where she became a partner in 2001, before joining Irwin Mitchell spending over ten years as Head of Family in London.

Elizabeth is a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and is a member of Resolution.

Elizabeth’s appointment coincides with the arrival at FLiP of Alexie Bonavia and Rebecca Alexander who will join FLiP as Associates.

Elizabeth will join FLiP on 14th October 2020.
