Using the Family Courts Post Covid – Responding to Consultation

At FLiP this week we have been giving some thought to our experiences of using the family courts during the Covid-19 pandemic so that we can provide feedback for the latest rapid consultation on the subject by the Nuffield Family Justice Observatory.  This latest consultation will examine remote (online), hybrid and in-person family court hearings.

As stakeholders in the family justice system, it’s vital that we take the time to participate in shaping its future. The results of this latest consultation will inform how remote working will operate as the family courts recover post Covid-19 and it will make a difference to the future experiences of our clients and their families.

If you have been involved in family proceedings conducted remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic, either as a party, or someone supporting a child involved in proceedings or as an independent expert, intermediary, social worker or lawyer, please take the time to respond.

The survey can be accessed here and it only takes 10 minutes to complete. The consultation closes on Sunday 27th June 2021.
