Elizabeth advises clients on how to manage the arrangements for their children and finances following the breakdown of their marriage, relationship or civil partnership. She has particular experience in private law children arrangements including those with an international element as well as a breadth of experience in financial remedy proceedings following divorce. Elizabeth also practices as a mediator.

Elizabeth advises on all aspects of family law, but has a specific interest in managing arrangements for children both locally and internationally and in all forums – in negotiations as a solicitor, in court and as a mediator. She also focuses on resolving financial disputes arising from the breakdown of a marriage and has particular experience in dealing with assets including private companies following a divorce.
Elizabeth’s clients include business owners and executives, professionals and stay at home parents, including those who have an international background.

Elizabeth is a Resolution Accredited Specialist with specialisms in private children law and domestic abuse. She is co-author of “Towards the Light: A Way Through Divorce and Separation” (2017), a handbook for individuals going through a divorce and separation.

Elizabeth’s recent cases have included:
- Acting for a finance professional in divorce and international relocation proceedings. Elizabeth was successful in enabling her client to return to Australia with her children.
- Acting for an entrepreneur who owned a multi-million pound private company in financial remedy proceedings. Elizabeth successfully achieved a clean break for her client.
- Acting for a father in successfully resisting a relocation application to a European destination despite an independent social worker report that was in favour of the move.
- Acting for a professional in financial remedy proceedings where there were complex issues relating to trusts, tax schemes and a public sector pension.
- Successfully defending an application to vary a client’s maintenance award resulting from divorce proceedings. Both parties were international and the case involved several jurisdictions as well as foreign pensions.
- Acting as a mediator on a divorce case enabling a couple who had faced significant emotional trauma to find both a financial resolution to their divorce proceedings and good arrangements for their child, who could then enjoy significant amounts of time with each parent.

- Re G Children [2014] EWCA Civ 336, a Court of Appeal decision involving separated civil partners in a dispute over the residence of their children.
- L v L [2011] EWHC 2207 (Fam), an appeal in financial remedy proceedings relating to the appropriate term of a maintenance order.
- K and L [2010] EWHC 1234, a Court of Appeal decision in financial remedy proceedings dealing with inherited wealth.
- Re S (Leave to Remove: Costs) [2009] EWHC 3120 (Fam), a successful costs claim in a children case because of the litigious conduct of the father.
