Elizabeth Fletcher

Elizabeth is a director and mediator at Family Law in Partnership. She is an experienced family lawyer and a qualified family mediator.

Elizabeth’s mediation work covers all family law issues although more recently her work has had a particular focus on children matters (this is a key feature of her work as a family lawyer too). Elizabeth offers both sole and co-mediation. Mediation sessions with Elizabeth can take place online or in person.

Elizabeth is a Resolution Accredited Specialist with specialisms in private children law and domestic abuse. She is co-author of “Towards the Light: A Way Through Divorce and Separation” (2017), a handbook for individuals going through a divorce and separation. Elizabeth is a member of The Law Society’s Family Law Committee.

Elizabeth’s recent mediation work has included:

• Elizabeth worked with a couple on a successful children mediation. The case involved a couple who were in proceedings regarding the living arrangements for their child.  There was a backdrop of a long running history of conflict between the parents. The parties successfully concluded the mediation and compromised the legal proceedings.
• Elizabeth acted as a mediator on a divorce case enabling a couple who had faced significant emotional trauma to find both a financial resolution to their divorce proceedings and good arrangements for their child, who could then enjoy significant amounts of time with each parent.
• Elizabeth acted as a mediator for parents struggling to reach an agreement over the secondary education of one of their children.  Elizabeth worked through the issues with the parents to find a solution for the whole family.
