Good Divorce Week: Guiding Families Through Choice and Knowledge

Our second video for Good Divorce Week 2025 features Senior Associate Kara Swift, who  highlights two of Resolution’s Codes of Practice:

  • Use experience and knowledge to guide clients through the options available to them.
  • Continually develop knowledge and skills.

At Family Law in Partnership, we have always championed constructive approaches to family law. We were the first firm to include mediators over 30 years ago and now offer the full range of non-court dispute resolution (NCDR) options, from mediation and arbitration to collaborative practice and the one lawyer model. Everyone at FLiP is trained in at least one form of non-court dispute resolution.

Through ongoing family law supervision (a forum that provides emotional and professional support to family lawyers), training, and group reflective practice, we continually develop our holistic skills to ensure fair and long-term solutions for every family.

Kara advises on all aspects of private family law, supporting a wide range of married and unmarried clients following separation to resolve matters relating to their children, finances and property rights with diligence and care. Kara is a qualified collaborative lawyer, offering her clients the opportunity to use the collaborative process to reach a solution to their family law matters.
