Role: Therapist/counsellor

Background: Family Law in Partnership has always been a law firm not only known for delivering exceptional legal services (recently ranked in Tier 1 in the Legal 500 rankings) but also for being innovative and forward thinking when it comes to
paying attention to the psychological aspects of divorce. At the heart of FLIP’s
ethos is a belief that it is essential to provide clients with expertise and support
in the different domains of separation and divorce, both legal and emotional.
Due to demand for our services and the development of new pathways at FLIP to
support clients we are looking to add to the team of therapists (currently there
are two).

Job Description: We wish to recruit a therapist or counsellor to join our in-house team of support services for clients going through a separation or divorce. The role will involve clinical work with clients as well as working with and thinking with the solicitors and assistants in the practice. In addition, there will be opportunities for interested candidates to get involved in other areas of the firm such as marketing and training, both internally within the firm and externally.

Criteria: The successful candidate will be a psychotherapist or counsellor, preferably with at least 3 years post-qualifying experience, including work with separating or divorcing couples.

They will:

  • be accredited with a recognised counselling or psychotherapy registering body
  • be able to demonstrate interest and experience in the landscape of separation
and divorce (no legal knowledge required).
  • be experienced at assessing risk and taking steps to attend to risk
  • be flexible and able to adapt to different work contexts
  • have a track record of working well with others in an organisational setting
  • be in supervision

Terms:  We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work on a part-time self-employed consultancy basis. We will offer competitive remuneration reflecting their role and experience.

How to Apply:
Candidates should send a covering letter and CV to Alex Von Der Hyde
avdh@flip.co.uk. The closing date is 9 a.m on 21st November.
