FLiP Wins Financial Remedies Firm of the Year 2025

FLiP Wins Financial Remedies Firm of the Year 2025

We are delighted that Family Law in Partnership (FLiP) has been named the Financial Remedies Firm of the Year at the Class Legal Financial Remedies Awards 2025.

This award recognises our contributions to the development of financial remedies law, procedure and good practice – a reflection of our long-standing commitment to innovation, excellence and positive change in family law.

For over 30 years, FLiP has led the way in developing NCDR (non-court dispute resolution) models. We were the first firm to include mediators and therapists, and have pioneered approaches such as private FDRs (Financial Dispute Resolutions), hybrid mediation involving financial advisors, and the introduction of collaborative practice to the UK.

FLiP has driven and/or been closely involved in many key developments in family law, including the Language Matters initiative and greater consideration of domestic abuse in financial remedy cases.

Over the past year, we have been engaged in significant cases such as Y v Z [2024] EWFC 4, achieving what is believed to be the largest Schedule 1 award outside a matrimonial context, and WZ v HZ [2024] EWFC 407(B), which provided guidance on managing spouses holding out in the family home despite court orders.

Beyond casework, we continue to champion thought leadership and collaboration. This year, we launched the NCDR Toolkit for legal professionals with FLANC, to enable neurodivergent individuals access better family law support.

Our culture at FLiP centres on partnership, integrity and empowerment. We are committed to supporting our team – through mentoring, reflective practice and coaching – and to creating an inclusive, healthy workplace with mental health support, flexible working and social connection.

This award is a tribute to the passion and hard work of our team in shaping family law and achieving fair, transparent and effective outcomes for our clients.

We are truly grateful to Class Legal for this recognition and were thrilled to celebrate alongside so many inspiring colleagues at the awards ceremony last night.
