Family Law in Partnership Diversity Data

As a signatory to the Law Society’s Diversity and Inclusion Charter, Family Law in Partnership is committed to supporting diversity across the firm’s workforce. By promoting diversity we provide equality of opportunity and a work environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

We invited all members of the firm to participate in a diversity survey in June 2015. Not all of those invited took part in the survey. Therefore the data referred to below reflects data from approximately 78% of our people. As a result, the statistics do not reflect the exact demographic make up of all Family Law in Partnership staff.

Approximately 64% of the partners and solicitors at Family Law in Partnership are women. Across the firm as a whole, women make up 71% of the workforce. Across all roles, roughly 40% of staff are aged 45-54, with 22% aged under 35. 94% of respondents identified their ethnic origin as white.

The data reveals that a majority of the respondents attended a UK state school, with approximately 47% attending a UK fee paying school. Just over 5% of respondents attended school outside the UK. Almost 30% of respondents did not attend university, with 38% of those that did having been part of the first generation in their immediate family to go to university.
