Director Charlotte Symes – Accredited Family Mediator
We are delighted to announce that FLiP Director Charlotte Symes has achieved accreditation as a family mediator.
Charlotte comments: “I am delighted to have been awarded full accreditation status by the Family Mediation Council in recognition of my work as a family mediator. The process has been rewarding and most importantly, I will use my skills to support separating and divorcing couples to find amicable financial solutions and to build co-parenting relationships.”
To become an accredited family mediator, a family mediator has to provide a detailed portfolio of their work and undergo a strict assessment process whilst demonstrating an extremely high level of competency. During Charlotte’s time in working towards accreditation, she was supervised by FLiP’s Head of Mediation, Dominic Raeside, one of the most experienced family mediators in the country.
Charlotte mediates on all issues, including those relating to finances and children. Charlotte’s practical and calm approach enables her to manage high conflict matters and to keep clients focussed on finding solutions for their families. In addition, Charlotte can draw on her experience as a family lawyer providing insight into the approach of the courts to particular issues. This often proves to be a significant help to Charlotte’s clients in reaching decisions in mediation.
